Terms and Expressions:
绵长不息 (miáncháng bù xī) is used to describe something that continues steadily over a long period of time without interruption. It often refers to abstract things like emotions, sounds, history, or natural phenomena, conveying a sense of continuity, flow, and endurance.
Here are a few examples:
他对理想的追求绵长不息,从未动摇。
Tā duì lǐxiǎng de zhuīqiú miáncháng bù xī, cóngwèi dòngyáo.
His pursuit of his ideals has never wavered, enduring through time.
爱情绵长不息,如同江水滔滔不绝。
Àiqíng miáncháng bù xī, rútóng jiāngshuǐ tāotāo bù jué.
Love can be long-lasting and constant, like the endless flow of a river.
一时湍急 (yìshí tuānjí) literally means “suddenly rapid” or “momentarily turbulent.” It’s often used to describe something (usually a flow of water, but also emotions, events, or situations) that becomes intense, fast, or overwhelming for a short period of time.
Here are a few examples:
河水一时湍急,小船差点被冲走。
Héshuǐ yīshí tuānjí, xiǎochuán chàdiǎn bèi chōng zǒu.
The river suddenly surged, and the boat was nearly swept away.
股市一时湍急,很多投资者都措手不及。
Gǔshì yīshí tuānjí, hěn duō tóuzī zhě dōu cuòshǒubùjí.
The stock market suddenly turned volatile, catching many investors off guard.
触达 (chùdá) literally means "to touch and reach" but is often used in business, marketing, and communication contexts to describe the act of effectively reaching or getting through to a target audience, customer, or individual—emotionally, intellectually, or physically.
Here are a few examples:
这个广告成功触达了年轻人。
Zhège guǎnggào chénggōng chùdále niánqīngrén.
This ad successfully resonated with young people.
通过社交媒体可以更快触达目标受众。
Tōngguò shèjiāo méitǐ kěyǐ gèng kuài chùdá mùbiāo shòuzhòng.

3. The Three-Circle Model
You can also organize your tasks in a way that makes sense to you. One popular method is the “Three-Circle Model.” Start by drawing three overlapping circles labeled “What I want to do,” “What I can do,” and “What I should do.” Sort your current tasks into these categories. The tasks that fall in the intersection of all three circles are your top priorities right now.
Life is like a flowing stream—its value lies in steady persistence, not in brief moments of intensity. As the saying goes, “Sharpening the axe won’t delay the cutting of firewood.” Instead of constantly pushing yourself and getting overwhelmed by chaos, it’s better to take a step back, breathe, and think about your next direction. Move forward with clarity, act with precision, and you’ll find yourself walking toward your dreams with greater ease.
You can flex your muscles by doing a Paraphrasing practice to round things up.
